BACKGROUND & TIMELINE
Ben Sullivan is the coordinator of the BirdLife International Global Seabird Program, and is employed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the UK BirdLife Partner. Based at the Australian Antarctic Division in Tasmania, Australia, Sullivan works on a wide range of technical, policy and advocacy projects aimed at finding solutions to seabird bycatch. His Pew Fellowship project is designed to reduce seabird bycatch in pelagic longline and trawl fisheries.
