| John Weller is a photographer and author whose work focuses on communicating the value of pristine places, the importance of conservation and the use of photography to connect people to issues. His book of photography and essays, Great Sand Dunes National Park: Between Light and Shadow, won national and international attention, including the Best Book Mountain Image Award at the 2004 Banff Book Festival. His Pew Marine Fellowship project bridges the gap between science and the public by telling the story of the Antarctic’s Ross Sea ecosystem through a library of multi-media narratives that include photography, film, music and storytelling. |
