BACKGROUND & TIMELINE
Peter Mumby is a marine ecologist with expertise in tropical coastal ecosystems. His Pew Fellowship project will focus on the concept of ‘managing reefs for resilience’ by demonstrating how the resilience of ecosystems can be modeled across seascapes and then integrated explicitly into a marine reserve network in the Bahamas Archipelago. In April 2010 Mumby moved from the University of Exeter to the University Of Queensland School of Biological Sciences to take up a prestigious Laureate Fellowship funded by the Australian Research Council.
